Position Summary: The National Account Manager (NAM) serves as a specialized individual contributor overseeing one of three distinct groups of fleet business, including Rental, Fleet Management Companies (FMC), and Major/Strategic Accounts. The role demands a strategic mindset, adept at fostering relationships, developing tailored programs, and driving growth initiatives within the designated sector. While each account type presents unique challenges and opportunities, the NAM plays a pivotal role in driving profitability and expanding market share. Primary Responsibilities: * Ability to identify, quantify and "teach" Pep Boys what customers want with accuracy. * Drive key initiatives for growth within designated fleet segments. * Identify growth opportunities and design tailored plans by region and account. * Execute growth strategies, targeting both new and existing customers. * Generate and review performance metrics, facilitating regular client meetings. * Facilitate crucial conversations around pricing, service levels, and profitability. * Develop mutually beneficial solutions to foster sustainable growth. * Advocate for resources and investment to support account development. Strategic/Major Accounts (SMA) NAM Primary Responsibilities: * Identify and win new major account targets, focusing on higher-margin opportunities. * Actively discover criteria for customer decision-making to inform fleet organization strategies. * Develop dynamic insights and reporting for customers aimed at increasing share. * Collaborate with FMC NAM to develop tailored programs for major/strategic qualified FMC accounts. Education, Skills, and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred). * Proven track record in fleet management, account management, or related field. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Proficiency in analyzing data and interpreting market trends. * Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. * Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or business development within the fleet management industry. * Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite. * Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs and attend industry events. The ideal candidate for all NAM roles will exhibit a metric-driven approach, a hunger for success, and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
