Job purpose

Responsible for all Fabrication and Revamp activity (Oklahoma City & Houston), order entry, mkt. share, and profitability Interface with the VP Operations, Director of Sales, Director, and Business Managers to ensure the success and profitability of the Department.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervises Compressor and Generator Engineering Staff
  • Coordinate meetings with WPI personnel and customers
  • Review and approve proposals prior to submittal
  • Track fabrication labor and material expenses to ensure compliance with Scope of Work
  • Assure promptness and accuracy of WPI Inspection Reports & QC
  • Close Fabrication and Revamp orders as an internal function prior to invoicing
  • Informs and negotiates additional work through WPI change order procedures
  • Schedules Field Start-up services with the District Service Managers
  • Meet all performance KPI's for the department.
  • Represents WPI on project warranty claims as needed
  • Develop and submit "Inspection& Test Plans" on request
  • Familiar with Industry Welding and Vessel Codes
  • Focus on improving efficiancies and margins.
  • Know market values on used engines and compressors
  • Develop and maintain WPI Quality Assurance Reports
  • Negotiate pricing with Used Equipment dealers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or
  • Must have 10 years of previous experience OR Bachelor's degree (Engineering)
  • Applied certification(s) preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to build and maintain good client relationships
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
