This position reports to

Manufacturing Process/Continuous Improve

Your role and responsibilities

Auditing existing manufacturing processes for accuracy
Creating new manufacturing processes and work instructions
Assisting operations by designing test fixtures and jigs
Designing facility layouts to improve existing work cells or implementation of new work
Providing ergonomic and safety assessments of existing work cells
Identifies & implements improvement opportunities, ensuring adherence to on time delivery, quality and cost

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or Associates / technical degree with 7+ years relevant experience preferably in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting a plus
  • Sound experience of engineering techniques, processes, and tools, including SAP, Catia, and CAD or SOLIDWORKS
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, SQL DB, coding, and reporting is a plus
  • High level of selfmotivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
  • Collaborative, solutionfocused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Up to 15% domestic travel, international travel rare but may be required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
