Purpose of the Position:
This role encompasses comprehensive management of projects at
Broadway Bank, aiming to instill robust project management discipline
throughout the organization. This position ensures that key initiatives and
projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Project
Manager promotes continuous improvement by training personnel in project
management methodologies and developing metrics to track and communicate
progress against goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Manages multiple medium to large-scale projects across
various business units, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational
goals.
- Develop detailed project plans to achieve objectives
within preset budgets and timelines through meticulous planning,
direction, and coordination of activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, prepare
agendas, and disseminate meeting minutes and project-related documentation
to maintain transparency and engagement. and help facilitate project
approval and governance process.
- Manage all project lifecycle phases: planning, scope
definition, design, execution, and delivery to ensure comprehensive
oversight.
- Monitor project progress against established milestones
and budgetary guidelines and prepare detailed status reports to provide
ongoing visibility to stakeholders.
- Select, negotiate with, and manage external consultants
and vendors to enhance project outcomes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize and
optimize project management processes and methodologies. - Evaluate and enhance project management practices
across business units to remove barriers, boost efficiency, and optimize
resource utilization.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to keep
all stakeholders informed about the project's progress, risks, and
results.
- Collaborate with business unit managers to gather
feedback and recommend improvements for future project strategies.
- This position may require travel.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to
influence and engage diverse teams.
- Proficient in conflict management, negotiation, and
problem-solving.
- High proficiency in using project management software
such as Smartsheet and/or Jira.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a meticulous
attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and
within budget.
- Competence in making decisions based on a combination
of analysis, wisdom, and judgment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and
meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the capability to
understand complex business issues.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management or related role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex project portfolios.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certifications are highly desirable.
Other Qualifications:
- Preferred: PMP
Certification, Six Sigma Certification
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and
other project management software
Other Requirements:
- Preferred additional certifications: Six Sigma or
related discipline.
- Travel may be required up to 25% depending on project
needs.
- Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
