Position Description
Job Title: Parking Lot Attendant

Reports to: Service Manager and the Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities Coordinator

Scope: Responsible for supporting the Moffett Field shop location with the flow, control and management of vehicles entering, parking, and exiting the parking lot to ensure safety, organization and efficiency and minimize lot damage. Will provide general operations support by moving and staging vehicles for the maintenance staff, participate in general shop and lot cleanliness, maintenance, and repair. Will also staff the fuel islands by dispensing fuel and other vehicle fluids and sanitary service.
Salary range: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the pull-in/pull-out hours with the bus operators by being highly visible lot monitors and serving as flaggers and directing the flow of traffic
  • Be the first point of contact for all those entering the Moffett Field facility, including visitors, and directing them to the correct parking areas
  • Identify vehicles scheduled for service, exterior wash or general parking and direct those drivers to their correct, respective location
  • Identify and intercept vehicles that are not permitted onsite
  • Work with the bus operators, drivers, and other employees to ensure vehicles are parked in the correct locations; enforce proper permitting of personal vehicles parked on the lot
  • Keep parking lot clean. Duties can include sweeping, picking up trash, emptying trash, etc.
  • Monitor and notify management of any safety issues and concerns
  • Support the maintenance area by locating, moving, and staging vehicles for maintenance staff use and parking vehicles post-service/repair
  • Provide general support to overall operations including but not limited to assisting in cleaning the maintenance and parking areas, assisting in the clean-up of spills or other accidents and general repair and maintenance
  • Staff the fuel island by dispensing fuel and other vehicle fluids, sanitary service and accurately recording the service provided each vehicle
  • Disinfect by misting and other cleaning measures, all buses that are used by operators. Ensure they are cleansed per the daily schedule and ready for use. All proper PPE is provided by ABC.
  • Other Duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Customer Service background is preferred
  • Experience in similar environments or job duties is ideal
  • Valid driver's license is required

  • Strong customer service skills and abilities; politely provide direction and service to others with courtesy, friendliness, patience, and professionalism
  • Be able to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company, its customers, and vendors
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures and follow directions
  • Willingness to be flexible and productive
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
  • Have familiarity or the willingness and aptitude to safely operate a motor coach or other large or heavy-duty vehicle

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to move items weighing at least 25 pounds
  • The person in this position needs to move constantly for extended period of time throughout a shift (80-100% of shift)
