JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a reliable and diligent Tool Room Manager to join our Team! This individual would be based out of headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon and supports crews from Tualatin and our remote yards. In addition, would assist sister company International Line Builders with tool repairs and ordering as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3-5 years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Manufacturing/engineering education and/or training
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Understanding OSHA and ANSI standards and procedures.
  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks at hand.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications (as well as follow-up skills).
  • Understanding basic instructional material and technical information.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Self-starter, motivated, focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review work orders to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Receive and count stock items and record data manually or usually computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in tool room. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Take inventory of stock. Verify inventory counts by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Ordering parts and tools as needed, with approval from appropriate division manager when necessary.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Provide, clean, and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Responsible for all die electric and testing procedures for compliance as to OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • All repairs and rebuilds of small engines, tooling and hydraulic tools used.
  • Coding of tools, all purchase orders, invoicing related to tool department.
  • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the tool room products, materials and advise others of any impact.
  • Ensure that the department operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • May be Subject to the Company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
  • Minimal Travel: 10%-15% (Locally to pick up parts or small tools)
  • Non-bargaining
