Job Description
Responsibilities

Job Title: Network and Computer Systems Administrator (Mid-level)

Sabre System is building a highly skilled team to provide comprehensive network engineering, program support, and network and digital systems support for NAVAIR's cybersecurity program. Our team will support mission-critical services by utilizing their expertise and experience in enterprise-wide applications, data protection/recovery, data transport, server and storage engineering, operations, and hosting. Our staff will ensure successful service delivery for various IT service areas, including traditional NMCI and corporate/business operations networks, RDT&E network environments, stand-alone environments, on-premise and cloud-based systems, and other NAVAIR IT enterprise networks and systems.

Location: Naval Air Warfare Center in Patuxent River, MD (on-site)

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
  • Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
  • Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
  • Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
  • Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
  • May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant subject OR approved CSWF training and certification; Degree from accredited University, additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum 3 or more years of progressive and hands-on experience working in related field, or relevant military on the job training
  • Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Certification (one or more of the following may be required): CCNA Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP and an OS/CE
  • Minimum Security Clearance: Secret w/SSBI or Top Secret (Top Secret/SCI eligible)
