This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).
This position provides the opportunity to drive process optimization, enhance process efficiency and create a positive impact on current and future business results. This role offers diverse learning opportunities such as leading efficiency project activities, delivering training and offering consultancy on lean manufacturing concepts and tools. Key objectives include supporting team responsibilities and implementing a process efficiency project.
* Leading and facilitating process efficiency activities or projects.
* Project management and status reporting to ensure the expected results are delivered.
* Sharing learned knowledge and experience with others who are growing their competency in lean manufacturing (one on one or classroom setting).
* Value Stream Mapping / Process Mapping to identify process gaps, waste; develop and implement solutions.
* Prepare and gain confidence and competence to deliver related training content.
* Prepare and gain confident to offer subject-matter consultation.
* Preferred degree in Engineering, Production and Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven project management and organizational skills.
* Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
* Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
* Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
* Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
* Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
* Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
* MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
* Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
* THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 12th-December 13th, 2024.
