The firm is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator for our DC Office. 

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
            HR/Office Management
  • Daily Checking and monitoring of various InfoSec logs.
  • Security badge administration.
  • Coordinate and monitor conference services, catering and guest relation.
  • Plan office events.
  • Complete forms and submit reporting on various DC government entities to include filing LLC renewals, completing the Transportation Benefits Equity Amendment Act Survey and sending out DC Wage Theft Act forms each year.
  • Record leaves for staff members
  • Assist in maintaining employee files.
  • Send out evaluation forms.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees.
  • Contribute to various office planning initiatives.  This has included participating in architectural and construction meetings; office move, acquisition and disposal of office furnishings, etc.
            General Legal Lateral and Summer Recruiting
  • Vi entry and tracking of all legal applicants.
  • Vi input of lateral and summer interviews.
  • Hire incoming lawyers in WorkDay.
  • Assist in onboarding of new hires.
  • Send EEOC reporting information to NY for tracking.
  • Compile lists and charts tracking recruits and evaluations for hiring partner.
  • Register for on-campus recruiting schedules at local schools.
  • Complete employment verification letters.
  • Assign and track advisors.
  • Update bar admission, lawyer seniority, and arrival/departure lists.
            Summer Associate Program
  • Coordinate all aspects of SA onboarding.
  • Plan and execute all summer events.
  • Input and track Summer Associate assignments on the InfoSite and send evaluation requests.
  • Send all associated correspondence.
  • Handle reimbursement of travel, moving, and out-of-pocket expenses.
            Marketing/Other
  • Research and book restaurants and venues for client dining/entertainment.
  • Assist with NY conferences and events held in DC.
  • Assist with coordinating accommodations for visitors/trial teams (office space, conference space, war room, catering, badges, etc.)
  • Coordinate business portraits with photographer and NY marketing dept..
  • Arrange for CPR training.
  • Assist with some outside associations and boards our lawyers are associated with.
  • Whatever it takes to make what someone requests happen and fill in for assistants and reception when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be extremely organized and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees throughout the firm.
  • Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel and Power Point skills).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-4-year minimum human resources experience within a large law firm or professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of Workday HRIS system.
  • Law firm experience.
