About Ameren Services (B&CS)

About The Position
The Tax Specialist will assist with general complex income tax assignments including income tax accounting, compliance and special projects. Duties will include understanding financial statement and regulatory impacts of tax adjustments, analyzing different accounts for tax treatment, and ensuring compliance with financial accounting rules and tax regulations. This position will receive general supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited college or university required. Three or more years of income tax experience at a professional level in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department or government agency required. MBA or Master's level degree (Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Master of Taxation) or CPA preferred. Experience in regulated utility income tax accounting preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required
* Experience with Oracle, PowerPlan/PowerTax and OneSource software products preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication skills required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment required
* Ability to handle multiple competing priorities at a time required
