Job Description

Location:

New York, NY

This is a key managerial role in the Commerce organization, reporting to the SVP of Commerce. This individual is responsible for developing the overarching commerce strategy for their portfolio of brands; driving performance to meet ambitious growth targets. The role will lead a dedicated team of Commerce Brand Leads, with an extensive cross-functional network including editorial, product, marketing and data analytics to deliver against revenue and profit objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Business owner for commerce revenue across a portfolio of brands

  • Develop commerce propositions that are differentiated within the market, and add value for the reader, our partners and the brand itself

  • Deliver growth targets through the implementation of a long-term strategic plans, as well as reacting to tactical opportunities and trade performance

  • Work with product and data analytics to develop critical reporting and proactively manage weekly trade

  • Oversee the content and content distribution strategy

  • Ensure all content and products featured reflect brand voice and standards

  • Deep understanding and implementation of SEO best practices

  • Collaborate to maximise all go-to market commerce activity including SEM, newsletter, social media, paid campaigns and events

  • Scope and develop product initiatives within the commerce toolkit framework

  • Work with Commerce Partnerships lead to develop brand relevant partnerships strategy, from pitch to delivery

  • Work cross-functionally to bring innovative partnership formats to market including affiliate, dropship and hybrid commercial opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key merchant partners

  • Team leadership and career development of the content and production teams to develop a best-in-class multi-skilled commerce team that successfully blends creativity with business insights

  • Profit management including revenue and personnel costs

  • Other duties as assigned

Base Salary: $192,000 - $225,000
