GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management of Respiratory Services in compliance with related local, state and federal regulations. Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

EDUCATION: Position requires a certification and licensure from an accredited school of respiratory care as required for registry by National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT or RRT).
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Able to effectively communicate and listen to families, residents, and staff.
Must be knowledgeable of respiratory and general medical practice and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care operations.
Be compassionate, friendly, kind, and understanding of the needs of the elderly.
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with resident's personnel, families, and support agencies.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.
