Integrity Performance Environment Fun Collaboration
This position is responsible for the following "job results".
Driving the shuttle vehicles provided by the resort
Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and coaching drivers
Scheduling, supervising, coaching, and disciplining department staff
Supervising the repairs and maintenance of shuttle department resources
Performing pre-trip inspections, logging all defects, arranging for repairs
Performing all reports required monthly pertaining to shuttle service.
Provide employee support with "Sync My Life" and "Kronos".
Communicating with Transportation Manager daily with any changes to scheduling, additional request, weather holds, route changes or any other operations that affect the shuttle service.
Adjust and adapt to changing conditions of the resort and re-route vehicles as needed.
Hold daily meetings with drivers to ensure the drivers are up to date on all resort information.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the buses and maintaining all safety equipment on the bus
Being knowledgeable about the resort, providing informational literature on the bus, and dispensing information as requested
Maintaining all safety equipment
Participating in a random drug and alcohol testing program
Using the radios provided for each shuttle according to set guidelines and proper radio etiquette
Adhering to the established routes.
Training as necessary or required by resort

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience:
3 years driving experience
Current and Valid CDL-B with Passenger endorsement
Previous supervisory experience
Current computer knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant is required to have and maintain a commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.
Must keep a valid medical card.
Must participate in a random drug and alcohol testing program.
Minimum age requirement is 21 years of age

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Any Alterra employee or volunteer who operates a company vehicle including cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required to comply with the Alterra Driver's Standards Policy. This policy also applies to employees or volunteers driving their personal vehicles for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30+ miles per trip. All drivers should receive a full copy of the Alterra Driver's Standards Policy; if you have not - please contact your Risk/Safety or HR/EE Department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Office Environment:
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

Mountain Environment:
The primary physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, bugs, sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc...
Exposure to: Chemicals required for cleaning, de-greasing, and painting Ultra Violet radiation from the sun enhanced through lack of atmospheric filtration at work altitude. Fumes produced in activities ranging from cleaning to painting to fabrication of metal products. Noise generated by engines, snowmobiles, lift equipment, and tools may require hearing protection to be worn.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
