Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) Creator and Manager (MSEL MGR)
Primary Location: Fort Polk, LA
Must be a U.S Citizen

Summary:
Provides MSELs to be validated by commanders to drive training objectives within the live, simulated, and constructed environments throughout the execution of training exercises. The MSEL MGR will be responsible for maintaining a library of all MSELs in a standard format that provides a timeline, resources, and actions of the training audience's activities within the simulated and constructed environments. The MSEL MGR will also be responsible for battle tracking the actions of the OC/Ts, and the actions required by any other element of the enterprise to force the training audience into conditions that stimulate a defined training objective. The contractor will be responsible for finalizing all MSELs planned for an exercise across a timeline of execution, and brief daily during execution for final adjustment/approval. The contractor will be responsible for daily actions but is not limited to the creation of the MSEL library across the conflict continuum for all Warfighting Functions. During the VALEX the contractor will be responsible for daily actions to include but not limited to the continued creation and refinement of MSELs to redirect the training audience to the end-state of the scenario, by phase. The contractor will be responsible for managing the roadmap of branches and sequels the training audience can take through the outcomes of the MSELs. Once the MSEL library is created, the contractor will be responsible for only filling this position during a block of time immediately prior to the execution of the VALEX and during the VALEX for MSEL refinement and creation, and until the AAR period is complete. The MSEL MGR will participate in all relevant training development meetings, in-process reviews, working groups, etc. when on duty in preparation for, execution of, and recovery from exercises.
Specific Responsibilities:
Include assuming ownership of the developing MSEL from the full time staff/planning staff, ensuring all training objectives are addressed by MSEL events (to include reviewing storylines to include branches and sequels), dynamic scripting events as needed, coordinating with OC/Ts to ensure they have a capture plan and to receiver their feedback from each event, executing daily MSEL synch meetings, coordinating with the AAR Facilitator and TAFF Manager to ensure their information needs are met, attending exercise planning meetings, maintaining databases of exercise MSELs, coordinating with the Team ATS logistician for any equipment and supplies needed for events and or MSEL MGR duties, coordinating with the Team ATS videographer to ensure video capture needs are coordinated, researching other exercise MSEL databases for usage in 3-353 exercises, and representing ATS as needed during exercises. Brief both Team ATS and 3-353 leadership as needed, to include in exercise meetings.
Additional Responsibilities:
Set up/tear down of MSEL MGR area
Meticulously track time requirements of MSEL events, and their branches and/or sequels
Coordinate with Scenario Development writers
Keep detailed records of exercise MSELs and their versions
Maintain copies of attachments needed for MSEL events (use links wherever possible)
Obtain methods for MSEL injects (email, text, phone calls)
Provide guidance to personnel required to participate in MSEL injects
ICW the TAFF MGR, provide guidance to OC/Ts on the purpose of each event and their roles in capturing feedback
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Prepare daily reports during missions and submit to management for progress update and issues
Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
SECRET Clearance
Effective multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a dynamic environment
Willing to travel up for two four-week periods within CONUS each year (targeting AUG-SEP and FEB-MAR)
Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint)
Excellent communication skills and comfortable engaging senior US military personnel
Must maintain current driver's license
At least two (2) years of military or civilian experience commensurate with management of all aspects of this position description.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution
Extensive knowledge of Army Doctrine (Brigade level and below); experience on a battalion or brigade level staff
Completion of ILE/CGSC/SLC
Familiar with the mission of the 3-353rd BN
Recent deployment experience
Transition Team Experience (Europe, Middle East, North Africa)
