Physical Location:   Hawaiian Islands
Department: Construction
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Experience:  1 Year Industrial Painting Experience
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to pass Workwell test, physical and meet minimum lifting requirements
  • Must possess a current driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Be familiar with or have the ability to follow US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 and OSHA Safety Regulations

Painter/Sandblaster opportunity located in Hawaii

Summary of Position:  Painter/Sandblaster for City & County, State, Federal, and Private Industry Construction Projects

Duties/Responsibilities:
 
  • Abrasive Blasting
  • Coating Removal via Hand and Power Tools
  • Hazardous Coating Removal
  • Application of Industrial Coatings via Spray Application, Brush Application, & Roller Application
  • Installation and Removal of Scaffolding
  • Erection of Containment for Abrasive Blasting and Coating Operations
  • Any and all additional tasks assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work in team environment
  • Has proficiency or will develop proficiency in Construction Safety including but not limited to OSHA 1926 & 1910 and EM 385 1-1.
  • Has the ability to adapt to changes quickly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel inter-island
  • Experience spraying conventional and airless
  • Abrasive Blasting Experience
  • Experience using fall protection
  • AMPP/SSPC Certifications are a plus, i.e., C7, C12, C14, CAS
  • Ability to obtain Badging for Access to Military Installations a plus, although not required
  • Flexibility in working hours, and ability and willingness to work extended hours
  • Able to work at heights
Compensation:
Hourly Rate and Fringe Based on Current Prevailing/Davis-Bacon Wage Rates
