SUMMARY

Support daily operations and team members by providing timely metrics reporting, ensuring supplies and RF equipment are available and functional. Ensure staffing levels are targeted to budgeted case volume and CPH, and training of new hires is conducted per SOP. Support continuous improvement efforts and initiatives by participating in initiatives and coordinating tasks to ensure timely completion. Provide daily support with operational tasks that support CPH and Quality goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Updates and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports
  • Updates the internal metrics reports: - Facility based:
    • Weekly Scorecard
    • Weekly OS&D Report
    • Weekly Cases Per Week Trend Report
    • Daily Recap Report
    • Monthly KPI Deck
  • Places orders for office and warehouse and ensures stock is well-maintained
  • Work closely with GM/Finance on A/P (verifying invoices and accuracy of the same, at the end of the billing cycle compiled all the invoices before sending to Accounting)
  • Verify and approve payment for FedEx Freight and Parcel.
  • Perform weekly PECO and CHEP reconciliation and tracking.
  • Completes new employee orientation process with new hires.

    • HR Paperwork
    • Partner with Compliance Manager and support training if needed.
    • Partner with Operations Manager on hands on training, reviewing presentations, SOP's and assisting with new hire observation forms.
  • Work collaboratively the warehouse management team, Human Resources, and the staffing agencies to meet the needs of staffing the warehouse
  • Act as the main point of contact for staffing partners to coordinate and communicate staffing plan with the agencies
  • Communicate with the staffing agencies when appropriate actions are needed (terminations/counseling sessions)
  • Serve as liaison between HR and warehouse employees
  • Support all HUB visitors and onsite meetings by ensuring all necessary supplies are available and food and beverages are ordered/planned as needed.
  • Support and assist in coordinating and training of internal and corporate Continuous Improvement Initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in coordination, support, and implementation of internal communication.
  • Assign and deploy RF units to assigned associates.
  • RF unit inventory oversight
  • Ensure maintenance of RF units and parts ordering are completed in timely manner which eliminates "down time" of equipment
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of daily load schedule plan.
  • Support Hub with supervisory coverage in the event of weather or system related events.
  • Liaison for onsite IT repairs (Internal Armada)
  • Support Operations Managers with PO investigation and load status questions with internal Armada customers.
  • Partner with GM or Operations Managers on Rush Order requests
  • Coordinate and Lead PECO and CHEP pallet audits
  • Support Siliker, ISO, and SQF audits, training, and tasks.
  • Assist and support with inventory questions or issues when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or Business Preferred

Experience:

Minimum:

  • 3-5 years of management experience

Preferred:

  • Warehouse experience in food products

Language and Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Customer focused
  • Familiarity with Red Prairie, JD Edwards, bar coding and RF units
  • Training, coaching, and counseling of associates
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule
  • Strong leadership, communication, team building, planning and problem- solving skills
  • Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills

  • Work is usually performed in an office environment and warehouse setting, with normal noise levels.
  • Business travel to other operational sites and the corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA may occur on an as needed basis (10% or less)
