Summary
Mid Coast Medical Group is seeking a full-time BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care at Family Practice at Parkview and to serve as the Associate Medical Director for our two Family Practice sites. The Associate Medical Director will work closely with the Medical Director for Primary Care and Primary Care Operations Leadership to oversee the clinical and operational success of our Family Practice sites. In addition the Associate Medical Director will participate on key committees and will communicate and implement primary care related strategic initiatives. In addition to administrative duties the Associate Medical Director will also practice clinically as a Primary Care physician.
This position is a primary care position, where applicants are expected to care for a continuity panel in the outpatient setting. No OB, no nursing home, and no inpatient medicine. Join a moderately sized Family Practice group of eight physicians, five nurse practitioners, and one physician assistant to provide full spectrum care to pediatric and adult patients in the community of Brunswick, with the full support of a patient centered medical home (PCMH) including social work and behavioral health services in office. Additional resources unique to this position include the Mid Coast Center for Community Health and Wellness downstairs in the same building, which provide a variety of health and well-being classes to patients and the community, as well as affiliations with Tufts School of Medicine Maine Track for teaching and Mid Coast New Mainers refugee resettlement initiatives for global health. Enjoy a robust referral network locally in the Brunswick area including Mid Coast MaineHealth ENT, rheumatology, endocrinology, physiatry, neurology, nephrology, cardiology, pulmonology, heme/onc, and surgery, as well as a larger network in the Portland area (including pediatric specialty groups) in the MaineHealth system. The outpatient electronic health record system Epic is fully integrated with the Epic system used throughout MaineHealth. Call is shared between two offices, generally 1 in 12 or more, and all done by phone (no weekend clinic). Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
