The Motion Designer/Editor is an experienced, conceptual creative whose experience and skillset extend many areas of post-production with a primary focus on animation/motion design. This role consists of ideation and execution across a range of disciplines, including (but not limited to): online video, social videos, branding and identity design, campaign development and pitch work, across animation and video.Must possess a strong sense of self-direction and also enjoy working in collaborative team environments. SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Meet with creative and account teams to ensure full understanding of project needs
Gather and transfer all forms of media using our preferred file structure system
Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal team
Meet agreed upon deadlines
Responsible for file ingest, project creation, export, and storage of deliverables in an organized manner
EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS:
5+ years professional design and animation experience
Adobe After Effects and Premiere expertise required
3d animation competency (preferably C4D)
Basic audio/music editing skills for edits and animations
Comfortable creating character animation, motion graphic explainers, and other common types of animated videos
Comfort navigating complex video edits in an organized manner
Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with internal teams and the ability to bring them to life
Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music, and transitions
Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
Can join a project in the concepting stage to collaborate with the creative team to evolve the script and story
Has an understanding of file formats, codecs, and bit rate Competent design skills
Mentor junior motion designers/editors as needed
