SUMMARY

The Sous Chef – Staff Dining will focus on running the production and service of staff feeding. The Sous Chef will possess volume food preparation experience, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to adapt to frequently changing business demands. A team-first mentality is a must.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Run production based on menu and projected sales mix
  2. Take daily end-of-service inventory
  3. Train culinary staff in key skills that aid in the smooth operation of production and execution of daily operation
  4. Maintain the highest quality and presentation standards
  5. Maintain equipment and wares in partnership with the Stewarding department and the facilities team
  6. Prepare menu items from staff orders
  7. Adhere to food safety procedures and maintain organized work area
  8. Oversee staff in production and execution
  9. Recruit, interview potential new staff
  10. Team first attitude
  11. Special projects and assignments as business dictates
  12. Interact with internal clients as time allows

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will interface with other culinary staff.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of volume feeding
  • Able to plan workflow for the day and week
  • Knowledge of email, Internet, and basic Office applications

  • Must be able to stand for long periods

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Fast paced order fulfillment through the lunch hours
