JOB PURPOSE AND REPORT STRUCTURE:  Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Account Specialist is responsible for finding sales leads and working in direct cooperation with Donning Salesperson. The Account Specialist also provides occasional clerical tasks and office work, when necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

  • Research a given list of leads using the internet and phone conversations.
  • Once a prospect is determined, send out letters and make direct phone and email contact with the organization to build their interest in receiving information about doing a Donning book.
  • Gather printed collateral and supporting material as well as a sample book and send the book and accompanying information to the prospect as a potential lead.
  • Keep accurate and organized records of all communication with potential leads including dates, times, conversation notes, samples sent, and related information.
  • Provide a project proposal to interested leads.
  • Keep inventory of and reorder office supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, which includes the upkeep and arranging of the Donning Library and Sample room.
  • Maintain a professional attitude during phone conversations with potential clients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Additional education or experience a plus.
