This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Catalyst Business unit located in Louisville, KY. As part of the production team, you will be responsible for assisting in improvements of three main aspects of our catalyst production and operations: Process order management, Inventory management, reporting and Process Improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main resource for analysis our bill of materials and recipes to identify deviations from production plans. 
  • You will recommend optimized campaign sizes and help lead changes to master data. 
  • Review purchase orders and material movements daily, addressing any issues. 
  • You will maintain accuracy of inventory levels for all materials including precious metals and packaging. 
  • Identify aged inventory for consumption and coordinate logistics movements. Audit in-process inventory and correct errors.
  • Responsible for creating reports detailing production order variances and opportunities to drive yield improvements. 
  • You will develop weekly production schedule reports and scrap analysis reports for operations teams. 
  • Also, you will serve as the administrator for the manufacturing execution system (MES) software implementation. Develop key performance indicators to track progress on site objectives. 
  • Drive best practice initiatives to continuously improve order and inventory management processes.

 

Requirements

  • You should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent from College/University or Technical School OR (10+ years of experience in Operational Leadership)
  • We perfer to have someone with 5-10 years of production coordination or inventory management in a chemical production plant environment
  • Experience with SAP Materials Management/Warehouse Management modules are highly preferred.
  • You should have cross-functional influence skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence teams across the entire supply chain to implement changes as getting cooperation is crucial.  
  • Must have strong perseverance and analytical skills to get to the bottom of discrepancies and complex data issues to optimize production.
  • You should have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
