Clariant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor to support the Adsorbents and Additives Business Unit. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our quality control processes for two manufacturing sites in Albuquerque and Belen, New Mexico. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services for Clariant's customers. You will also lead a team of technicians, conduct regular inspections, implement, and improve quality control standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues. The Quality Control Supervisor will be entrusted with a significant level of autonomy and responsibility. The ideal candidate must be able to navigate and resolve challenges independently, handle change with resilience and adjust work priorities accordingly.


Responsibilities

•    Manage a team of quality control inspectors and technicians by providing training, guidance, and support to ensure consistent and accurate quality assessments
•    Implement necessary processes and platforms needed to support Food and Drug Administration Drug Master Files data capture and retention
•    Ensure that products and processes comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements
•    Design, develop, and implement best quality practices and processes for product developments
•    Collaborate with engineers and product specialists to ensure customer and division quality requirements are met
•    Develop and initiate quality standards for tests, inspections, and evaluations
•    Manage the calibration of Quality Control systems
•    Coordinate and perform regular inspections and quality checks on raw materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
•    Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and customer complaints by implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
•    Offer technical guidance and support in response to quality testing and analysis
•    Ensure contract compliance by reviewing and approving quality requirements for supplier purchase orders, manufacturing, and other related services
 


 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
•    3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
•    Lean 6 Sigma Certification
•    Proven, applied knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and SAP
•    Strong knowledge of quality control standards, testing methodologies, and data analysis
•    Highly organized with the ability to self-direct and adapt to changing business needs and priorities
•    Must be able to operate in a complex environment with multiple sites 
•    Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to problem solving
